TikTok has quietly turned content theft into a corporate business model. Over the last two months, a wave of anonymous AI bot accounts has overtaken the platform, systematically stealing content from real creators, repurposing it with AI tools, stripping out credit, and building entire pages around stolen material, many from creators in Hawk's own network. Hawk is personally blocking 30 to 50 of these accounts every single day.

The timing lines up with a significant shift in TikTok's ownership structure. Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle, now holds a controlling interest in TikTok USA. His son runs Sky Dance, which controls Paramount, CBS, and is merging with Time Warner Discovery to absorb CNN. Ellison recently cut 30,000 jobs at Oracle as part of a massive AI pivot, and that same AI-first strategy appears to be reshaping TikTok from the inside.

The creator rewards program has been gutted. Payments to creators, including single parents who depended on that income, have essentially vanished. TikTok Shop turned the platform into a low-grade shopping channel, and now the app is being deliberately degraded, not by accident or bad updates, but as an intentional strategy. These AI-generated bot accounts are pulling in 10,000 to 20,000 followers and millions of likes while real creators see their work recycled and monetized without consent.

Impersonator accounts have been a problem for years, running crypto scams and phishing followers on Telegram. TikTok never addressed that. Now the platform itself appears to be operating the same playbook, just at scale.
