Approximately 95% had no gang affiliations, yet the administration expected them to remain imprisoned for life under horrific conditions. Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, and Tom Homan understood these men would face permanent torture despite zero criminal convictions.
The cognitive dissonance becomes clear when examining MAGA social media. Followers demand harsh punishment for Democrats and undocumented immigrants while defending or dismissing identical allegations against Trump. The Epstein documents continue revealing troubling information, yet partisan loyalty trumps concern for victims. This double standard raises serious questions about accountability, justice, and whether the country can recover from such extreme tribal politics.
