Educational requirements for new ICE agents have been eliminated entirely, facilitating this recruitment strategy despite existing payroll records, personnel files, hiring documentation, and discharge papers that will eventually become public knowledge.
Following the fatal shooting of a suburban mother on a Minneapolis residential street, where a woman was shot in the head three times, ICE agents immediately proceeded to raid a local high school instead of regrouping or processing the incident. At the school, ICE physically attacked students, pepper sprayed teenagers, and blocked entrances during active class hours. The rationale of targeting a high school to locate violent criminal undocumented immigrants defies logic when students and teachers are present for normal educational activities.
The pattern reveals how ICE anonymity enables brutal tactics against vulnerable populations including women and teenagers. Without masks providing perceived anonymity and protection from accountability, the current ICE operational model cannot function.
