Nick Estes is an enrolled member of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe and Associate Professor in American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota. He co-hosts the Red Nation podcast and is the lead editor of Red Media. He recounts the cross-country caravan that indigenous activists organized in October 1972.
