Enoch Was Taken Before Judgment — Is This a Picture of the Rapture?

In Genesis 5:24, Scripture says, “Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.” Unlike the repeated pattern of death in Genesis 5, Enoch’s life ends differently: he is taken by God.

Hebrews 11:5 tells us that before Enoch was taken, “he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

His story gives us a powerful biblical picture of walking with God, pleasing Him by faith, and being removed before judgment came in the days of Noah.

Jesus said His coming would be “as it was in the days of Noah.” This teaching looks at Enoch, Noah, the flood, and the biblical pattern many believers see connected to the rapture.
