YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn this video Heimler explains what inflation is and how to measure it: the inflation rate. And one of the most reliable measures (though not perfect) for measuring inflation year over year is the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The Consumer Price Index measures the price of a market basket of goods that an average urban family consumes and compares it to a base year to get some idea of how prices have changed.
If you haven’t done enough economic calculations lately, then your cup shall be full after this video.
Inflation and the Consumer Price Index falls under Unit 2 in the AP Macroeconomics curriculum.
