According to Melanie Gibb, it was love at first sight when Lori allegedly met Chad at this two-day Preparing A People Conference held in St George, UT. Chad spoke for 45-minutes, and continued to sell and sign his books at this two-day conference. It was there that Lori allegedly introduced herself. Three or four days after Chad Daybell gave this speech, he wrote to Lori Daybell in an email, telling her that Lori's daughter, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, was DARK (ie an evil spirit).
