Ali, the St. Lunatics rapper shared an interview with Nelly on Monday (October 11). Ali credits Ali for helping him go in a new direction with his music. This led to unprecedented success.
Nelly was also accused of sending him another "subliminal dis" Sunday, October 10. It read: "It's called career and you have ups & downs...some never had ups so technically they never had a job. They were just part of another person. FACT! FACT!
Ali argued against this and claimed credit for Nelly’s success. Then he noted that Nelly's country-influenced album, Heartland was met with disappointing sales. The album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in September. According to MRC Data, the project landed at No. 7 on Billboard's Top County Albums Chart with approximately 13,000 album-equivalent units being sold in its first week.
Ali explained that Nelly sent me one of his subliminal messages last night. The truth is that..Nelly =[talk]... Ali=[write] He wrote it and it sold 10,000,000 [diamond ]... Do you notice that he hasn’t said anything about that country album? Is that you?
