Vice President Aaron Burr was arrested in 1807. You might think that’s not too surprising, considering he shot and killed Alexander Hamilton, that’s like the thing he’s known for. Except after killing Hamilton, uh, no charges were pressed. Killed a man in front of a crowd in broad daylight and he walked right back into the White House like nothing ever happened. What he did get arrested for was attempting to single-handedly secede from the union.
