First time? Jacopo de Pazzi was executed about 5 times. In 1478 he failed to take over the city of Florence and was hanged next to his co-conspirator. After being buried, he was dug up to be beaten and dragged through the streets. His head became a door-knocker at the old Pazzi mansion, while his body was drowned in the river, fished out by some children, hanged again, then flogged to death, and finally, finally-! Thrown back into the river. Jacopo was brought to life once on Italian television, and guess who played him? None other than the inimitable and accident-prone Sean Bean.
