“The Star-Spangled Banner” was sung by the multi-talented Melanie Miller, who also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cleveland State University and was Miss Ohio 2006!

The lyrics for “The Star-Spangled Banner” come from a poem written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key. The poem was set to the tune of a popular British song written by John Stafford Smith in or around 1773.
