1:13Now PlayingHello, everyone! If you are curious why I have both a long version and a short version of my “This Day in History on December 7th” video, it concerns two audio files taken from Wikimedia Commons that are listed as being in the public domain there. Both of these audio files are part of U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous speech delivered to Congress on December 8, 1941 following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor the previous day. Anyway, when I uploaded the longer version of my video that includes these short audio excerpts, I received a message indicating that Sony Music Entertainment on behalf of Legacy Recordings claims copyright on an audio recording of this historic speech from 80 years ago. As such, the version of my video that contains the speech excerpts will generate no revenue for me. I therefore made a second, shorter version of my video without that audio segment but I am keeping the original, longer version up for those interested in watching the full video as I originally intended it to be. Thank you for your time, understanding, and support!
