as posted by the channelAfter World War One ended there was a time of chaos in postwar Germany. Extreme left-wing and extreme right-wing parties were emerging and striving for power. There were the Spartacist Uprising, the Bavarian Soviet Republic and the Kapp Putsch (also known as the Kapp–Lüttwitz Putsch). Also separatists made their move. That happened in the Rhineland. Here in Aachen the "Free and Independent Rhenish Republic" was proclaimed on 21st October 1923.
