The Vendée Uprising (1793) was a conflict between the French Royalists and the First French Republic that was led by the Jacobins (led by Robespierre during his Reign of Terror). The Vendée Revolt can be seen as a savage conflict, a total war during the French Revolution. Napoleon called it the War of Giants.
