as posted by the channelThe people of the Netherlands during WW2 endured loads the hardships. World War II in the Netherlands is remembered as how their big neighbour Germany invaded them. After the German invasion of the Netherlands, the German occupation of the Netherlands was a fact. During WWII Holland was occupied by Germany. That was the Dutch resistance and also collaboration. The Liberation of the Netherlands was a tough operation. Market Garden failed and because of a strike the Hunger Winter (the Dutch Famine, or Hongerwinter) occurred. Also a very high amount of Jews were rounded up and transported to the east. Many of them didn't return.
