as posted by the channelDuring the Liberation of the Netherlands the Allies captured Tilburg in October 1944. This operation was part of Operation Pheasant. In the Battle of Tilburg Scottish forces were helped by Dutch Allied forces of the Princes Irene Brigade. The Germans were led by Gustav-Adolf von Zangen and under his command were the men of the 256th Volksgrenadier Division. Learn more about the last months of WW2 in the Netherlands.
