14:49Now PlayingThe Kingdom of Yugoslavia joined the Axis (the Tripartite Pact) in March 1941. Yugoslavia was under the rule of Regent Prince Paul but after the Yugoslav coup d'état he had to make way for King Peter II. When he heard about it Hitler flew into a rage and issued Operation Retribution (German: Unternehmen Strafgericht). On 6 April 1941 the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia started.
