YouTube Description
as posted by the channelNapoleon II, born Napoleon François Charles Joseph Bonaparte on March 20, 1811, was the son of Napoleon Bonaparte, the famed French military and political leader. Commonly known as the "King of Rome," he became Napoleon II when his father abdicated the throne in 1814. However, his reign was short-lived as Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, leading to his second abdication.
Following his father's downfall, Napoleon II was not allowed to inherit the throne, and the Bourbon monarchy was restored in France. He lived the remainder of his brief life in exile, primarily in Austria, under the title of Duke of Reichstadt. He died on July 22, 1832, at the age of 21. The exact cause of his death was tuberculosis, a respiratory illness that was prevalent during the 19th century. Napoleon II's health had been deteriorating for some time, and tuberculosis ultimately claimed his life.
