Fascism and Nazism was not only prevelant in Italy and Germany in the run-up and during the Second World War.

The British Union of Fascists (BUF) was a political organization founded in 1932 by Sir Oswald Mosley, a former member of the British Parliament. The BUF was notable for its promotion of fascist ideology and authoritarian principles in the United Kingdom during the interwar period. Mosley and the BUF advocated for a single-party state and a centralized authoritarian government.

The group's Blackshirts, named after the Italian fascist paramilitary, were the uniformed enforcers of the BUF. The party's activities and propaganda were often met with opposition, leading to violent clashes with political opponents, particularly communists and Jewish groups. Due to increased government scrutiny and the outbreak of World War II, its leaders were arrested. Mosley would pass away in 1980.
