as posted by the channelAs the Qing dynasty seemed to collapse after emperor Xianfeng's catastrophic rule, the enthronement of Prince Zaichun, crowned as emperor Tongzhi, allowed for the Tongzhi restoration to take place. His short reign, mostly controlled by his mother and stepmother’s regency, would see a restoration of the Qing dynasty.
