Oʻahu: Would you try composting if it came to your neighborhood?
A new Honolulu composting program rolls out in six communities beginning April 1, starting with some homes in Kailua and Mililani.
According to the city, acceptable items include:
🥕 Fruits and vegetables
🐟 Meat, fish, and bones
🍚 Bread, rice, and pasta
☕️ Coffee grounds and filters
🍳 Eggs and eggshells
No plastic items, including compostable bags, should be included.
