1:03:24Now PlayingGDP measures output of an economy. However, its growth does not necessarily reflect the full picture of a nation’s progress & the well-being of its economy and the people. For example, GDP growth may be high but there may be huge inequalities in income distribution. Therefore, GDP growth by itself may not necessarily translate into economic well-being for all. Similarly, the GDP growth does not capture the environmental well-being. So how should progress and well-being of nations and societies be measured?
