The hostages' families have increased pressure on the Israeli government to bring the captives back home, as the renewed fighting risks the lives of those still held in Gaza.
In a meeting on Monday, Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz was reportedly confronted by angry families of hostage soldiers. The families alleged that Netanyahu’s government reignited the conflict to preserve his coalition government. During a heated argument, Yehuda Cohen, the father of 19-year-old Israeli captive, said that Netanyahu’s decision to resume war in Gaza was politically motivated.
