Notably, Saudi Arabia holds significant influence across Arab nations, and has strong global diplomatic leverage. Riyadh is now using this leverage to gain concessions from both Israel and Hamas. News outlet Newsweek reported that behind the scenes, Bin Salman is exerting pressure on Hamas to abandon its weapons. The Saud family is using its influence on Egypt and Qatar to persuade Hamas to disband. It is also lobbying other Arab nations to politically isolate the militant group.
