CAIRO – 18 August 2025: Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa arrived Arish City on Monday to visit the Rafah border crossing and hold a joint press conference in the Egyptian side of Rafah.
The conference is expected to highlight the large backlog of aid trucks and the efforts led by the Egyptian Red Crescent to prepare and deliver them into the Gaza Strip. The tour in Arish city will include a visit to the field hospital.
On Sunday, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdelatty stressed the urgent need to sustain international support for implementing the Arab plan for Gaza’s reconstruction, which outlines requirements for early recovery, infrastructure rebuilding, and restoring basic services as a prelude to the enclave’s long-term development.
Abdelatty made the remarks during his meeting in New Alamein city with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa, in the presence of Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy and Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Mohamed Ayman Ashour.
