YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOn September 4, Yemen’s Houthi Armed Forces launched their 3rd attack in 24 hours on Israel. The group said that it targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion airport, causing all air traffic operations to be halted. The Houthis also carried out drone attacks at a military site in the city of Haifa. They claimed to have used a Zulfiqar ballistic missile during Thursday's attack. The group claimed that the missile hit Israel, despite interception attempts by Israeli and American air defence systems. The latest attack came a day after the Houthis launched two ballistic missiles at Israel. The Ansar Allah-led military forces used a Zulfiqar and a newly unveiled Palestine-2 missile. The Houthis recently said that they have put Palestine-2 ballistic missiles into operation. The Palestine-2 has a cluster-munition warhead. Houthi spokesperson Yahyaa Saree said that the missiles were aimed at military targets in the city of Yafa, or Tel Aviv. Saree said that these operations are part of the initial response to Israeli aggression against Yemen. Experts suggest that the continuous attacks by Houthis show that the group is preparing for a long war of attrition with Israel. On Thursday, the Houthis also launched an attack on a ship in the Red Sea. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency said that the incident took place 178 nautical miles north-west of the Houthi-controlled Hodeidah port. Reports say that there was minor damage to the ship and all crew members were safe. The ship proceeded to its next port of call after the attack. The Houthis have been targeting Israel-bound vessels in the Red Sea. The group has hit dozens of Israel-linked ships, causing many of them to sink. The Houthis have reiterated that they will continue to attack Israel-bound ships, until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stops the war on Gaza. With Israel intensifying military operations in Gaza, and airstrikes in Yemen, the Houthis have vowed to step up their offensive against Israel. The group has said that it will escalate attacks, in support of Gaza and to avenge the assassination of its Prime Minister, Ahmed Ghaleb Nasser al-Rahawi.
