3:41Now PlayingThe death toll in the Jerusalem bus shooting has risen to six, and 12 more are injured, six are reported to be in serious conditions. As per the reports, 4 victims died on the spot, while two more succumbed to their wounds in a hospital. The deceased were named as Levi Yitzhak Pash, 57, Yaakov Pinto, 25, Yisrael Matzner, 28, and Rabbi Yosef David, 43, Rabbi Mordechai Steintzag, 79, and Sarah Mendelson, 60. As per the reports, the two attackers, residents of the West Bank, reached Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction by a car and opened fire on people at a bus stop. Shin Bet security forces have reportedly arrested a resident of East Jerusalem who drove the attackers to reach the spot. Viral videos of the incident showed people frantically running from the scene amid the gunfire. Israeli police said that an Israeli off-duty soldier and civilians with guns responded to the attackers and killed them. The off-duty soldier squad commander in the military’s new Hasmonean Brigade, a unit for ultra-Orthodox troops. Israel’s security agency Shin Bet identified the attackers as 21-year-old Mohammad Taha, from Qatanna village and 20-year-old, Muthanna Amro from Qubeiba. Soon after the attack, Israeli Defence Forces said both the villages were encircled by the military.
