1:39:51Now PlayingDelhi’s air quality has plummeted to the season’s worst levels, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) climbing to 391 on Sunday morning before dipping slightly later in the day. A thick layer of smog engulfed the national capital as temperatures dropped to 11.7°C, far below normal. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the city’s AQI stood at 370 by 4 p.m., keeping Delhi firmly in the “red zone.” Most monitoring stations registered pollution in the “severe” category, with Punjabi Bagh recording the highest at 425, followed by Bawana (410) and Jahangirpuri (401). Experts warn of worsening conditions as stagnant winds and cooling temperatures trap pollutants across the capital.
