At an urgent FBI briefing in Los Angeles, federal officials announce the arrest of four members of a far-left anti-government domestic terror cell called the Turtle Island Liberation Front, accused of plotting coordinated New Year’s Eve bombings against multiple logistics centers in LA and Orange County. Prosecutors say ringleader Audrey Carol and co-conspirators Zachary Aaron Paige, Dante Gaffield, and Tina Lay traveled to the Mojave Desert on December 12 to assemble and test IEDs before being taken into custody by FBI SWAT and the Hostage Rescue Team. The group allegedly planned to detonate complex pipe bombs at several company sites at midnight and discussed follow-up attacks targeting ICE agents with explosives, with investigators seizing bomb plans, precursor chemicals, and propaganda materials, including “Death to America” and “Death to ICE” posters, during nationwide search warrants.
