Earlier emails from 2015 also show Epstein’s team inviting Lutnick to a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, for whom he donated the maximum legal amount of $2,700.
Lutnick's Past Claims On Epstein
These documents appear to contradict Howard Lutnick’s past claims. Last year, on a podcast with New York Times, Lutnick said he distanced himself from Jeffrey Epstein around 2005, after an uncomfortable visit to Epstein’s townhome. He claimed Epstein made a sexually suggestive remark during that visit, prompting him to vow he would “never be in a room” with Epstein again.
In response to the latest document release, a Commerce Department spokesperson said Lutnick had “limited interactions with Mr. Epstein in the presence of his wife and has never been accused of wrongdoing.”
