Asked whether Platner should step aside after a Politico report detailed the accusations, Mamdani replied, "I believe it's time for him to drop out of the race."
The calls come after Platner's former girlfriend, Jenny Racicot, alleged he forced her into non-consensual sex in late 2021. Platner has denied the allegations, calling them "troubling, serious and false."
