8:14Now PlayingAt the United Nations Security Council Meeting on Tuesday, focused on the West Bank, the representative of France, Jay Dharmadhikari, strongly criticized Israeli settler violence in the West Bank, accusing Israel of ‘de facto annexation’ of the West Bank. He also condemned actions of the IDF which have caused civilian casualties and damaged civilian infrastructure. He clearly stated that the West Bank and Gaza were integral Palestinian territories. While France was committed to Israel’s security, he stated the country’s willingness to use forceful measures, including economic and trade restrictions, against Israel in response to such actions.
