Congresswomen Jackie Speier (D-San Francisco/San Mateo) and Carolyn Maloney (D-Manhattan/Queens/Brooklyn) will conduct a United Call to Action and press conference on the need to pass the Equal Rights Amendment on Thursday July 24, 9 a.m., on the sidewalk in front of the steps to the Supreme Court. In March, Congresswoman Speier offered a joint resolution to remove the deadline for the ratification of the ERA and Congresswoman Maloney has introduced a new Equal Rights Amendment that would finally add the word “women” into the U.S. Constitution.
