America’s elected leaders and CEOs are finally waking up to the reality that a low-wage economy – in which many workers can’t afford the basic necessities of life and are forced to rely on public aid to survive – isn’t good for working families or the economy. The Progressive Caucus forum will highlight model employers in order to show that real-world alternatives to a business model reliant on poverty-jobs are possible.
