In episode 4, we learn about the numerous allegations of CIA involvement in drug smuggling and arms dealing around the world from the Iran Contra affair to proxy wars in Laos, Cambodia, and Burma during the Vietnam war. There are no shortage of accounts, accusations, and even outright government documents corroborating a questionable history of the Central Intelligence Agency.

And with each passing week and each subsequent investigation, we come to see a picture that looks less and less like a government agency tasked with protecting the American people, and more and more like a rogue faction of unchecked clandestine operatives establishing and preserving their own power structures.
