YouTube Description
as posted by the channelPROOF that Stalin and Mao were Libertarian
Everything you've been told about the history of Communism was a lie. You are made to believe that Stalin and Mao were somehow tyrants, but as a matter of fact, they did everything in their power to promote SELF-GOVERNANCE, autonomy, and liberty among the people. It was the corrupt party bureaucracy alone which obstructed them.
Stalin and Mao were infinitely more libertarian - if we take that word to mean a basic suspicion of the excesses of government wastefulness, whimsical abuse of power, and smothering of people's creative abilities - than anyone could possibly imagine.
That isn't to say they wanted their government to be weak. Obviously, they were NOT interested in relinquishing power to foreign imperialists or domestic enemies of the people. But at the level of how intrusive, excessive, and tyrannical government was for ordinary people's lives, they did everything in their power to limit it.
Now I know many have neurodivergent status and I want to help them by pointing out that obviously the thumbnail is a meme, so before you start crying, watch the video. The notion that Stalin and Mao are free market anarchists, is as ridiculous as the idea that they were tyrants who wanted to extend central government control to every aspect of life.
The key difference is that they presided over states which had clear goals they sought to implement - beyond which, life could breathe. The notion of a ‘regulatory’ state is impossible for them, as the state is seen as the very organ that would oversee its own eventual withering away.
Wherever possible, forms of life, culture and production outside direct state control were promoted and cultivated, as exemplary models of the Communist future.
