1:00Now PlayingApparently nothing would soothe this octopus except the open seas. Inky, the octopus slipped right out of the aquarium and escaped to freedom in the ocean without even cover his tracks. Staff at New Zealand's National Aquarium noticed Inky missing but they found his suction cup tracks showing his route. He slipped through a small gap in the top of his home, traveled across a wet floor and squeezed his way into a 6-inch drain pipe, leading him back to the ocean. Inky joined the aquarium after he was rescued from a cray pot back in 2014. #InsideEdition
