A person handling the egg reportedly put his thumb through the shell. The egg was rushed Rainbow Springs Nature Park in New Zealand where workers taped a piece of another egg over the damaged egg. The park waited patiently to see if the patch job worked. The chick eventually emerged from his egg healthy, much to everyone's relief. Workers named him Fissure. #InsideEdition
