1:55Now PlayingAn 8-year-old boy is being hailed a hero after he called 911 to save his mother and the family dog when they fell through ice Sunday. Caden Medernach was out for a walk with his mom, Cathy, and their dog, Baily, in Aurora, Illinois, when the pooch saw some ducks nearby at a lake behind their home and ran after them. Cathy then rushed to go after Baily and hopped in a canoe to save him from the freezing water. The canoe toppled over once she was in the water. Caden called 911 and asked for help. #InsideEdition
