His dad Robert Lockman, Sr. was only 9-years-old when he checked out "Val Rides the Oregon Trail" 75 years earlier. Lockman risked a possible $554 late fee and returned the book to the Osterhout Free Library in Pennsylvania. Lockman says he believes his father meant to return it and probably forgot since the attack on Pearl Harbor happened just five days after it was due. #InsideEdition
