The message was written in 1981 by Douglas Stephens, who sent the bottle into the ocean when he was 20-years-old. With the help of social media, Burchett was able to contact Stephens, and the two plan to meet up in August for lunch, where Burchett will return the beer bottle to Stephens. #InsideEdition
