He didn’t know it at the time, but lurking in the sand were tiny parasites known as hookworms. They bit into Michael’s foot and crawled beneath his skin. As the hookworms made a home there, Michael developed painful sores that became infected. The hookworms most likely came from an infected dog. #InsideEdition
