In 1997, Inside Edition spoke with a Texas company that was sending the ashes of people into space for the first time. Among the remains were those belonging to “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry and psychologist Timothy Leary. In total, the rocket sent the remains of 24 people into the sky. Their families said knowing a piece of their loved ones were in space brought them closure. #InsideEdition
