Dr. Mike Parson of Florida Gulf Coast University said, "They're carbon composite material. So they don't break down easily, so you're throwing them in a landfill. And they're just sitting there." The repurposed sticks will soon be home to marine life, including oysters. And those oysters help filter water, potentially thousands of gallons a day. #InsideEdition
