More than one million people are expected to crowd into New York’s Times Square to ring in the new year and watch the legendary ball drop. Safety is always a concern, but the NYPD says it currently has no credible threats directed towards the city’s New Year’s Eve events. Thousands of officers will be assigned to the area, an NYPD official told Inside Edition. “Most of them will be in uniform in highly visible posts, but as always, we will have several teams out there that will not be visible." #InsideEdition
