as posted by the channel

Scientists from Yale University used DNA analysis to confirm a tortoise on the Galapagos Islands is part of the Chelonoidis phantasticus species. That discovery would not be a big deal if it weren’t for the fact that the entire species has been considered extinct for the last 100 years! Now that they’ve confirmed this one isn’t extinct, they’re planning an expedition to search for more tortoises, and hopefully save the species. #InsideEdition
