Local officials had been caring for Jala after he was trapped in a local village. The park has several special areas for orangutans inside to boost their chances for survival. According to the WWF, orangutans are an endangered species, with their population drastically shrinking from 100 years ago. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains. #InsideEdition
