On Monday, Thompson's husband Puffin announced her death on Instagram, saying, “We lost a beautiful person.” No cause of death was given. Makeup artist, Wayne Goss, wrote, “Mel was more than a YouTuber to me. She was a friend. I am absolutely devastated.” Thompson was 35 years old. She leaves behind a husband and four children.
