He went on to appear on “Top Chef Junior” and worked as an assistant to the chef at a Alabama restaurant. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia for the first time when he was just 3 years old. The cancer recurred four times, and he announced in February the leukemia had returned.
