Fisherman Matt Capron jumped into the water off the coast of San Diego when he and his buddies came upon a young whale caught in a lobster trap rope, which was wrapped around its tail six or seven times. Using a filet knife, Matt cutt each loop of the rope, one by one until the whale was free. “I was just excited to get in and try to help it,” Matt told Inside Edition. “To be in the water with a whale, that’s the chance of a lifetime.”
